Free Palestine
Our installation aims to spread awareness and educate people about the Free Palestine movement where we put it together in Chronological order by starting with the relations of Muslims and Jews pre-occupation, which then led the the first Nakba (Catastrophe) in 1948 that led to over 750,000 Palestinians getting displaced, as well as the creation of what is right now the Zionist entity and apartheid state of Israel. Furthermore, we wanted to shed light on the current genocide and massacres in Gaza that started on October the 7th - present day. The design choices were based on the colors of the Palestinian flag – Green, Black, White, and red and elements such as the watermelon – which is a symbol that represents the Palestinian people as well as a blanket of a blue target to represent the Zionist regime targeting the civilians. Watermelon, food coloring, sheets, acrylic paint. Size: 1,2 square meters
