Me, Myself, & I
An exploration of how i can explain my identity visually through an abstract collage, 3D poster, and DIY printing techniques by using an object that i resonate with and using recycled materials for the sustainability / + change aspect.
The object I chose was a candle. At first, I was a bit indifferent about what object I wanted and how it went hand in hand with my identity because many things came to mind. When I think of identity, I think of personality traits, qualities, beliefs, and values. From there, I decided to choose the candle with a focus on mental health by making it revolve around my mental state throughout the past, and present, and the future shows what kind of person I am striving to be. mental health has always been part of my identity, as it has shaped me into the type of person I am today through the experiences I have faced in my life. additionally, use art as a way to visually describe my emotions. First poster shows to sides to my life from the past with a vibrant side and a dark side. Second poster shows my current present self with protecting my emotions while also going through trauma. Third shows myself after my healing process in the future.
